Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix (Rescue)

Dexter the dog is a treeing walker coonhound mix that we adopted from Action for Animals Humane Society. He was about 10 weeks old when we adopted him. Dexter is a love bug and loves attention. He loves to play and he loves walks!
Dexter struggles with allergies (both food and environmental) but they’re pretty well under control and he’s much more comfortable nowadays. Inspired by other "talking dogs", Dexter has buttons and learned to "talk". See him in action under #TalkingDogDexter!
Fiona
Tabby Cat (Rescue)

Fiona the tabby cat was adopted from D&H Furrever Homes. She was abandoned at 3 days old and bottle fed, and she loves people for it! Fiona comes when she is called, follows us around, and loves to cuddle. We call her “Fi” for short (pronounced “fee”). Fi has a short tail from an injury at birth or shortly after; the end of her tail was already missing when she arrived at D&H Furrever Homes.
Liz
Flamepoint Cat (Rescue)

Gotcha: August 16, 2020
Liz the flamepoint cat was a terribly sick kitten that my husband found at a friend's house. He brought her home, quarantined her in the garage, and got her to our vet the next morning. She was 6 to 8 weeks old and had an upper respiratory infection, eye infections, and ear infections. With medicine, good food, and love, Liz healed beautifully! She's now happy, healthy, and loves to play.
Diesel
Foster Failure #1

Diesel was a "foster failure" - we fostered him and his sister Avery while they waited for a home through Nose 2 Tail Cat Rescue... then we decided that home was with us! Liz adores Diesel and convinced us that she needed a playmate. The two are inseparable. Diesel is a "talker" and is always meowing and telling us stories. He especially loves checking out anything we're eating, even though he is never willing to try any human food.
Avery
Foster Failure #2

Avery was a "foster failure" - we fostered her and her brother Diesel while they waited for a home through Nose 2 Tail Cat Rescue... then we decided that home was with us! Avery is shy but so so sweet. She's a lap cat and loves to snuggle. She has a sweet little meow and will talk to us when it's quiet. Her favorite thing ever is a Squeeze Up treat.
